Artiste gréco-norvégienne, Amanda Tenfjord a été sélectionnée en interne pour représenter la Grèce à Turin en mai prochain. Elle commence à apprendre le piano à l’âge de cinq ans et est révélée au grand public en 2014 avec son titre Run. En 2016, elle participe au programme musical The Stream diffusé sur une chaîne norvégienne, et se place dans le top 30. Trois ans plus tard, elle participe à la tournée du groupe norvégien Highasakite et joue dans plusieurs festivals. En parallèle de sa carrière musicale, elle suit des études de médecine.

La Grèce participe au Concours Eurovision depuis 1974, et l’a remporté à une reprise 2005 avec la chanson My Number One, interprétée par Helena Paparizou. Le pays a manqué six éditions du concours : en 1975, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1999 et 2000. Depuis l’instauration des demi-finales, en 2004, la Grèce n’a manqué que deux finales du concours, en 2016 et 2018. Le pays a en outre remporté à deux reprises, une demi-finale : en 2008 et 2011.
