Elle a remporté le Pabandom Iš Naujo!, la sélection lituanienne et un ticket pour Liverpool. Monika n’est pas une inconnue, puisqu’elle a déjà
foulé la scène du concours en 2015, en duo avec Vaidas Baumila. Ils avaient à l’époque réussi à se qualifier en finale en finissant à la 18ème place.

La Lituanie participe au Concours Eurovision depuis 1994 et a manqué plusieurs éditions du concours. En 1995, la Lituanie fut reléguée à la suite des résultats obtenus l’année précédente. Le pays se retira alors, pour ne revenir qu’en 1999. En 2000 et 2003, la Lituanie fut à nouveau reléguée. Depuis l’instauration des demi-finales, en 2004, la Lituanie a manqué 7 finales du concours : en 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2017 et 2019. Le meilleur classement du pays en finale demeure jusqu’à présent la sixième place de LT United en 2006
